She worked part time in Gregwire Drug Store, Russell. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She served on the library board at Russell and the Central KansasLibrary Board. She taught Sunday school, vacation bible school, confirmation class, and was one of the first volunteers to help with teaching reading at Bickerdyke grade school in Russell. She was a director of the DeinesCultural Center at Russell. She died of colon cancer. A portion of her cremated remains was buried in Scotia, Nebraska near her parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents. Most was distributed at a beautiful spot on theKansas prairie.

| Bredthauer--Eggert GRAND ISLAND - Miss Elizabeth Bredthauer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Bredthauer, became the bride of Richard Eggert at Trinity Lutheran Church at 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Mr. Eggert is the son of Mr. and Mrs Herman Eggert of Fremont.The Rev. O. A. Graeber and the Rev. Walter Buss read the nuptianl lines. Given in marriage by her father, the bride chose a dress of embroidered Swiss organdy over taffeta, styled with a V-neckline and gathered raglan sleeves. The skirt, softiy gathred at the waistline, fell to ankle length. A crescentshaped hat, ornamented with pearls, held her finger tip illusion veil. Miss Barbara Bredthauer served her sister as maid of honor, and the bridesmaids were Miss Rosemary Bredthauer, another sister; Mrs. Robert Dunklau, the bridegroom's sister, of Fremont, and Miss Phyllis Kort of Blue Hill. Allattendants were gowned identically in waltz-length frocks of white Swiss organdy over pink taffeta, fashioned with a tucked bodice and full skirt. Joan Bredthauer was flower girl, and John Bredthauer, ring bearer. The best man was William von Kampen of Hastings, and ushers were Oscar Bredthauer Jr., Ruper Dunklau of Fremont, and Duane Eckert of Stanton. Assisting at the reception which followed the ceremony were Miss Mary Ellen Maronde, Miss Ellen Jean Foth, Miss Patricia Hehn, Mrs. Clarence Fox, Miss Itha Frost, Mrs. Leonard Wells, Miss Velma Foth, Mrs. Dave Oswald, Miss JoyceFoth, Miss Janis Meerkatz. Both the bride and groom are seniors at the University of Nebraska. She is a member of Sigma Kappa and he of Beta Sigma Psi. |
