Notizen zu dieser Person
Joseph came to the USA in 1928 at the age of 20 year. He is listed (incorrectly as Joseph Hambach) leaving Bremen on the ship Columbus on 26Jan 1928. His profession was listed as Baker-Helper. He is also listed as returning from Germany on the ship Europe on 13 Jun 139 (age 32 - Baker) and from Frankfurt to Idlewild Airport NY on 14 Sep 1953 Little is known about Joseph Hambsch's marriages. The information given is from divorce papers filed in New York. Joseph Hambsch sued for divorce in New York State after his wife left him and divorced him in Reno, Nevada. I have been told that he married twice (In the early 1940,s?). (My cousin, Ruth Zehetner, remembers the second wedding, but since she was very young, she remembers nothing about the participants and the location Joe had a bakery he worked with his sister Anny (also for a while with my sister and a young man from Kaiserslautern called Werner Wilhelm) The bakery was located in Brooklyn at 362 - 7th Ave between 10 and 11 Street. (That is two blocks from the subway and two blocks from Prospect Park) Later on he lived at 219-05-99th Ave Queens Village, NY 11429, with his sister Anny and a female friend, Madeleine.
