Anne was born in the US when her father worked in the German consulate in NY. She subsequently returned to Germany, was educated in a boarding school, etc. When she graduated she asked for and was granted a trip to see Pikes Peak. While she was there she met and married Benjamin Edmund Sutton. Their marriage seems to have been tumultuous almost from the beginning and they divorced some time in the early 30's. She died from breast cancer. (All per David Garret
