After assisting on his father's farm until 22years old, he entered the employ of the Soo Line as a section worker.The headquarters to which he belonged wee in Hewitt. In 1919 he waspromoted to the foreman ship of a section crew of th Nekoosa Line workingin this city, following which he moved with his family the this city andhas lived here ever since. His home is at 818 North Central Ave. A yearago he resigned to take a job as a rural tank salesman. A few monthslater he was advanced to city salesman. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs.Frank X Durst, Hewitt. The elder Mr. Durst is the assessor of the Townof Marshfield.John Durst was married to Miss Mathilda Wagner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.,Blasius Wagner, Town of Marshfield, by the Reverend Joseph Volz in St.Johns Catholic Church on October 24,1916.
