Cora Dittbenner Bluhm, who passed away early Saturday morning, December 5, 1953 was born in Brown County, Minnesota on November 16, 1875. Her parents were John Dittbenner and Caroline Simondet Dittbenner <../johann.html>. Of her six brothers and five sisters who grew to manhood and womanhood, surviving are a brother, Arthur of California and three sisters; Rosa Rentz of Bertha and Eleanor Sasse and Caroline Shultz of Milk River, Alberta Canada. As a young woman, Mrs. Bluhm attended St. Paul's College at St. Paul Park, Minnesota. Later she attended Shenandoah Missionary Home at Shenandoah, Iowa. On October 30, 1912, she was united in marriage to Charles Bluhm of Bertha and since that time has lived almost continuously in her present home. She was bereaved August 1937 by the death of her husband and again on December 22, 1940, by the death of her younger step-son, Sylvester. She is survived by her daughter, Jeanette of New York City and a step-son, Leonard, of Bertha. Funeral services were held on Monday, December 7, at 1:30 p.m., at the home and at the Church of God at 2:00 o'clock with Rev. Thomas Hall officating. Dale Franklin sang several selections. Pallbearers were: Howard Bluhm, Harlan Bluhm, Edwin Woessner, Arthur Johnson, Elmer Sherman and Fred Bottemiller. Internment was made in Zion cemetery. Those in attendance from a distance were: Mr. and Mrs. Ernst Nelson, Benson; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Bluhm and son Charles of Wheaton; Gladys Rentz of South St. Paul; Dr. and Mrs. Ray Alcox and daughters of Hancock; Mr. and Mrs. Rolance Gode of Aldrich, Mr. and Mrs. August Redemski and Lowell Gode of Staples; Mrs Clara Fischer of Wadena, Mr and Mrs. Charles Burger, Lena and Herman Zimmerman of Parkers Prarie.
