From "The Genealogy of the Duflot Family 1856-1956 by Joseph Leo Duflot":

Albertine Antoinette Duflot. Education, Seventh Grade. Married W.D. Compton at Mayfield, KY March 3, 1904. Divorced in 1905. Neitherremarried. She died December 16, 1951. Interred on the family lot inState Line Cemetery, Texarkana.
Never a better woman ever lived than Albertine. She was anemaculate housekeeper. In household management she was intenselyconsidered of the wishes of family members. Her aesthetic tastes foundmarvelous expression in landscaping the home place which she loveddearly. She gave her all in loving care for her parents in health andmost devotedly in sickness.
W.D. Compton died December 10, 1952. He lived a life of shelteredexistence under the solicitous guardianship of his sisters and neverachieved the emotional maturity to assume the normal responsibilities offamily life.
Only one child was born to this couple, Mary Janet."
From cousin Norma Sorsby Belonie 1995: "Aunt Albertine's husbandleft her, and moved back to Kentucky. Mary Jeannette visited him beforehis death. He was living with two old maid sisters. Mother (Clara) andAunt Ruble went with Mary J.Mother said that Mary J. never said a wordabout what they talked about".

Albertine was baptized in St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Paducah, KY on July 29, 1877, No. 1057. Sponsors were Stephen Duflot and Teresa Flieth. Rev. J. C. Feehan officiating. (Copy in book).Albertine's name was incorrectly entered as "Albert Anthony Duflot" andhas same date of birth, so it is her. I believe sponsor "TeresaFlieth" is another cousin of Marie Antoinette that may have come with herfrom France to America. Teresa married someone by the name of A. Simon.(There was a "Teresa Flieth" listed along with "Stephen Duflot" assponsors for the baptism of Albertine Duflot dated July 29, 1877, No.1057 in St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Paducah, KY. This isprobably "Theresa Woltz (Woeltz)",Marie's cousin.)

Dear Jane,
Just a note to let you know a story about the Duflot family.
My Grandfather and Grandmother Meador liked the name of Albertine so muchthey named my father's baby sister Albertine Duflot Meador. She was born10 March 1912 in Miller Co. AR to Linnie Edna (Johnson) and Cyrus PiertMeador. She left the U.S.A. on 14 Aug. 1945 as a Baptist Missionary toBrazil and died of typhoid fever 14 Nov. 1947. She is buried in Rio deJanerio. She never married. The Meador and Duflot families lived in thesame community in Miller Co. AR. I don't know if there is any otherconnection or not. The mother of Cyrus Piert Meador was Mary Jane Rogersborn in KY and married in Hempstead Co. AR to Jacob Tolotson Meador in1856. Both died in 1908 and are buried in Harmony Grove Cemetery S.E. ofTexarkana,Miller Co. AR.
