Death Cert. shows: John Postier, social security #285-05-0191. Died
March 22, 1947, 9:50 a.m. Died at Cleveland City Hospital after a stay
of 80 days. Born June 23, 1880, 66 years, 8 months, 30 days old, husband
of Ida Postier, age 63. John was born in Germany, a woodworker for
Fischer-Jirouch Co., son of Ferdinand Postier and Ernestine Radtke, both
born in Germany. Died of cancer of the right kidney, secondary cancer of
the lung, pleura and left scapula. Autopsy done by City Hospital found
that the major cause of death was cancer of the right kidney. Buried at
Riverside Cemetery on March 25, 1947, Carl H. Sauer, was the informant,
and the Funeral Home was Donald E. Sauer, 4801 Memphis Avenue.
Obit states: John F.W. Postier, husband of Ida, father of Gertrude
Liebert, Elmer, brother of Fred and Paul.
Cemetery records show: John Fred William Postier, buried Section 14, Row
9, Grave 165. Died 3/22/1947.
