(2) Elizabeth Woodruff on 17 Oct 1574 (licence issued 13 Oct1574), dau of David W., alderman of London. She had m. (1)George Stonehouse and (2) Walter Leveson.In "The Kingsmill Records" there are 12 pages devoted to him,including this funeral certificate from the College of Arms:"The RightWorshipful Mr. Richard Kingsmill of Highclere in theCountie of Southampton, Esquire: surveiore of the Court of Wards& Leverees, married to his first wyfe, Alice, the daughter ofRichard Faulconer of Hurstbourne and co-heire to her brotherRichard Faulconer. By which Alice he had issue Constance hisonly daughter and heire, married to Sr. Thomas Lucy of Charlcotin the Countie of Warwick, Knight, who by her hath issue ThomasLucy, Richard, George, Willm., Robert, Francis, Elizabeth, Anneand Brigid. The said Richard Kingsmill took to his second wyffeElizabeth daughter of David Woodruff, Alderman fo London by whomhe had no issue."He ended this transitory Lyffe at Highclere the 17 of Septemberano 1600 and was in the parish church there worshipfully,according to his estate, comitted to the earth and his Funerallsolemnised the 7 of october next following - The principallmourner Sr. Thomas Lucy - The assistants Mr George Kingsmill,justice of the Common Pleas, and My William Kingsmill - thepenon borne by Mr William Wroughton - The preacher Doctor Field,"William Camden, Clarenceux, and William Smith, Rouge Dragonattending and serving at the said funerall."Tho Lucy"William Wroughton"Wm. Smith - RougeDragon"This is followed on the certificate by drawings of the armorialensigns viz:"The pennon bearing the crest of Kingsmill charged with acrescent for difference."The helmet surmounted by the crest charged witha crescent fordifference.""The surcoat embroidered with the same arms:"1. Targe, sable 3 falcons argent beaked and taloned, or,Falconer."2, DoQuarterly 1 and 4, Gules, on a chevron argent, 3 bucksheads erased sable, a chief per fess, nebuly sable and argent(Woodroffe),"2 and 4 sable, a fess ermine between 3 ounces passant gardantargent (Hill)."
