He was born Sept. 1, 1904, in Monroe County, the son of Crit and Octava (Loveless) Ridge. He was a retired stone mill worker and had last worked at the Bloomington Limestone Company. He was a member of the International Stone Mill Workers Union No. 89 and attended the Smithville Christian Church. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Reba Smith, of R. 8 Bloomington; one sister, Mrs. Ora Lucas, Bloomington; three grandchildren, Sally, Patrick and Craig Smith, of Bloomington. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and four brothers. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Allen Colonial Chapel with the Rev. Dale Kendle presiding. Burial will be in Clear Creek Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday. Family links: Spouse: Dorothy M.
