Birth: Jan. 16, 1947 Newmansville Clarion County Pennsylvania, USA Death: May 31, 2013 Clarion Clarion County Pennsylvania, USA Bonnie Rae Schulz, 66, a resident of Clarion Commons in Clarion since 2000, died Friday morning, May 31, 2013, at her home. She lived in Tionesta before moving to Clarion in 1982. Born January 16, 1947 in Newsmansville, Tionesta, she was the daughter of James Raymond and Hazel Jane LaVan Allio. She was married on July 26, 1968 and divorced on May 13, 1980, to Henry David Schulz Sr., who died on January 13, 2012. Mrs. Schulz was educated at the West Forest High School and graduated in 1965. She then graduated in 1967 from Gail Institute in Indianapolis, Ind., as a computer operator. After graduation, she took her first job at the Dover General Hospital in Dover, N.J. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also was secretary for Clarion County Christian Academy from 1984 to 1991, along with duties of being secretary to the pastor of the Clarion Church of the Nazarene. Mrs. Schulz was a member of the Trinity Point Church of God since 2000. She was also a 4-H club member and secretary. She enjoyed doing family history research and has written four books. Family history was instilled in her from the age of 16 due to a 10th grade project. She did research for the Clarion Historical Society for more than 20 years. Survivors include two children, Henry David Schulz Jr. and his wife, Buffy, of East Brady, and James Raymond Schulz and his wife, Jennifer, of Seneca; four grandchildren; four brothers, Wilbur L. Allio and his wife, Molly, of Subisco, Ariz., William E. Allio and his wife, Robin, of Tionesta, John A. Allio and his wife, Eileen, of Tionesta, and Malcolm H. Allio and his wife, Debbie, of Umatilla, Fla.; two sisters, Betty Allio Richards and her husband, Larry, of Monticello, Fla., and Beverly K. Poole and her husband, Michael, of Mooresville, Ind.; a sister-in-law, Margaret Allio of Zephyrhills, Fla.; an aunt, Velma LaVan of Knox; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Thomas David Allio, Donald Lee Allio Sr. and James N. Schulz; two sisters, Beatrice Jane Allio Decker and Belva Eleanor Allio; and two nephews, James Edward Richards and Adam Lorenzo Richards. The family will receive friends from 3 to 6 p.m. on Monday, June 3, at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home in Clarion. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 4, 2013, in the funeral home with the Rev. Bruce Wilson, pastor of the Liberty Street Church of God in Clarion, officiating. Interment will be held in the Amity Lutheran Cemetery in Newsmansville, Clarion County.
