Bruce A. Taylor, 73 of Mount Union R.D.1 died in the Lewistown Hospital at 1 O'clock this morning after a brief illness. Mr Taylor was born at Shirleysburg, Huntingdon County, Dec. 22, 1887, a son of the late Philip and Ellen Irvin Taylor. He is survived by his wife, the former Clara E. Mason, to whom he was married on March 31, 1910. Eight Children survive, namely, Marlin E. Taylor and Mrs. Carl (Hazel) Markley of Mount Union; Mrs. Melvin (Thelma) Fagan and Mrs. William (Helen) Houck of McVeytown R.D.2; Blaine W. Taylor and Mrs. Charles (Mary) Stoner of Newton Hamilton; Richard M. Taylor of Mattawana; and Robert B. Taylor of Mount Union R.D. Other survivers included a brother, Orlando Taylor of Juniata, Blair County; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Knouse of Mineral Point, Cambria County; 25 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A retired farmer, Mr Taylor was a member of the Newton Hamilton Methodist Church. Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Booth Funeral Home at McVeytown in charge of the Rev. Charles F. Rhodes. Interment will take place in theGilboa Cemetery near Shirleysburg.
