Meldrum, Charolette, D., Early Church Records of Burlington County, New Jersey: Volume 2 Chesterfield Monthy Meeting, Minutes of Meeting p. 58 "3rd da, 7th mo, 1741. Daniel Saint to be taken into the care of the friends." p. 60 "7th da, 4th mo, 1744. A certificate granted for Daniel Saint granted Perquomen, NC Monthly Meeting." Daniel's name was mentioned in passing in the travel journal made by William Logan from Pennsylviania to Georgia on business. William Logan's Journal of a Journey to Gerogia, 1745, The Pennsylvania Magazine of History and Biography, Vol. XXXVI., No. 1, 1912, p. 7. "5th Day. Alpheus Saint was born February 12, 1811, and his wife December 8, 1812. He was a son of William Saint, born in 1783, whose father, Hercules Saint, was it son of Daniel Saint (probably born in Wales). the founder of the family in North Carolina and it Quaker in religious. Daniel Saint came to Philadelphia in 1757. in the ship with Benjamin Franklin who was returning to America from England." (ed.--This story has one major error. Benjamin Franklin sailed to England in 1757 on the ship General Wall from New York City and remained there for several years.) Daniel's death was in the latter part of 1771 or early 1772.
