see card 4 of Francis Clark David was converted to the Mormon church at Nauvoo and was baptized there by the Prophet Joseph Smith.When the Mormons left Nauvoo, he went to St. Louis, MO and was an Eldaer while there. They had one child piror to 1845 and a daughter Mary Ellen at St. Louis. We have no records after 4 March 1849 about his wife Margaret or thie children. It is supposed that she and the two children died in the cholera epidemic that swept St. Louis in 1849. He married Myra Williams in 1849 and left for Utah in April 1850 with a group, most of whom were going to CA. Their first son was born on the way at Sweetwater River, Wyoming, 8 Aug 1850.
