[Jack Tatum's Family Tree PURE.FTW] Abner served in both the Granville Co, Militia and as a Revolutionary War soldier. He was the first Clerk of the Wilkes Co, GA.Superior Court when the Co, was formed and when that part of Wilkes Co, in witch he resided become Lincoln Co, he was active in the new county. He was the first Clerk of the Superior Court of Lincoln Co, On 12 Nov 1803 he was appointed Commissioner of the Lincoln Co, Adademy. On 6 Dec 1808 Abner Tatom and his wife Mary sold their land in Lincoln Co, and shortly thereafter moved to Madison Co, Mississipi Territory where he serrved as justice of the Quorum 1812 - 1817 In 1815 he was a signer of the Petition to congress by the setters on the Public Lands West of the Tennessee River.
