Lee, as he was called, lived in Butler Co., MO, Bedford and Gibson Counties, TN, and at least visited in Hood Co., Texas when Harrison Jefferson Nutt was there." He is buried next to his father. The newspper vital reords of Bedford County Tenn, pg. 160 states: "Died: L. D.Nutt, born in the 25th District of Bedford Conty on 1st December 1844 and died 25th March 1907. Age 62 years, 3 months, and 24 days. Member of the Baptist Church at Wartrace. Ordained as a Ministerin1888 at Orin, Missouri, later moved hi membership to Tullahoma. Buried at Alex Cortner Grave Yard about 1 mile from where he was born. Buried by jhis father, mother, brothers and sisters." Shelbyville Gazette, April 11, 1907. The June 11, 1880 Federal Census for Gibson County, 21st Civil Dist. showed Leonidas D. Nutt at age 35 living in the household of Harrison J. Nutt and shows him as related to Harrison as "brother." He apparently met and married Sarah Jane here in 1883. His civil war record can be found in Damon's book, as well as his dairy.
