DOROTHY L. RUDDEK, 82, of Mount Hope, died at Memorial Medical Center. Born in Croyle Township, daughter of Walter H. and Evelyn M. (Partsch) Burnheimer. Preceded in death by parents; son, Larry; grandparents, Harry and Cora (Gillman) Burnheimer, who raised her; and daughter-in-law, Cathy Jean (Straw).
Member of Mount Hope United Methodist Church, Mount Hope, where she sang in the choir and participated in the women's group. She was a graduate of Adams Township High School, Class of 1948, and was a former aide at Johnstown Area Vo-tech. Dorothy was active in the community and proud of being the first woman to serve on the Forest Hills School Board. She enjoyed camping, relaxing with friends and spending time with her family.
Friends received at Mount Hope United Methodist Church, Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at noon, the Rev. Jason McQueen. Interment, Mount Hope Cemetery.
Arrangments by Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home Inc., South Fork. As an expression of sympathy, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Mount Hope United Methodist Church in Dorothy's honor.
