In his early years lived at Hillcrest Ave., New Rochelle. SSN: 060-05-5594. The 1936 Pelham Directory lists him as a clerk. Enlisted in the Army in NYC 23 Nov. 1943 following the death of his first wife Grace Lentz. He served from 1943-1946with the 740th Engineers Base Equipment Co. attaining the rank of Staff Sargeant. He retired as a sales rep. for Edward Ehrbar Inc. in 1980. "Rip" was "Captain" and Honorary member of the Wykakyl Country Club in New Rochelle where he was a member for 50 years and its President in 1974. Memorial service held at the Presbyterian Church of New Rochelle on 50 Pintard Ave. Feb. 19, 2002.
