Lived at 192 Webster Ave., New Rochelle with wife Elizabeth through the 1920's. In the 1930's and beyond, he owned "Travelers Rest", a gas station and general store in Danbury, Ct. He Lived in Connecticut for 37 years. "I got gas there as a young driver not knowing who he was." (comment- George L. Rohrs). Birthday also listed as 1 Sept. 1885. Buried in Beechwood Cemetery, New Rochelle, NY.
In 1906, Henry was hurt in a fall from his horse which required hospitalization for months. A severe fracture of both bones in his lower limb caused a doctor to determine amputation was the only way to save his life. Fortunately, this was notnecessary. Workingmen's Fund Ball: The 15th annual civic ball of the Workingmen's Sick and Death Benefit Fund was held in Germania Hall. Officers include Henry, John Appenzeller, Valentine Kraft, among others.
