Jonathan was born March 05, 1980 in Chester, Illinois the son of Willard R. Knop and Pamela (Thies) Knop. He married Melissa Korando on February 8, 2009 in Steeleville, IL. Jonathan was a self employed farmer and equipment operator. Jonathan enjoyed the beauty of God’s created world. He enjoyed being outdoors hunting, fishing and farming (especially making sure his rows were straight). He felt especially blessed to know that his family was going to be further extended in that he and Melissa were going to be parents. He was also blessed with close relationships and many dearfriends who became like his own brothers. During his illness, he learned to appreciate how precious each moment of life is and urged his family and friends to live their lives to the fullest.
