Ruth moved from Rome, NY to Steuben, NY in 1927. Ruth went to High School in Holland Patent, NY. Ruth's middle name was taken from a favored neighbor. Fogg, Ruth M. 2/9/1922 - 4/17/2015 Leslie, MI Ruth Mayfred Fogg was born in Rome, New York on February 9, 1922. She was the daughter of William and "Della" Seifert, and was the 3rd of their 7 children. The family moved to Michigan in 1936, and within the next year, Ruth met her future husband, Arthur Fogg. She attended County Normal School for Teachers immediately after graduating from Leslie High School in 1939, and taught country school for the next 2 years. She and Arthur were married on July 5, 1941. They bought their first small farm on South Main St., Leslie in 1943, and moved to her lifelong home, the farm on Bellevue Rd., in 1951. She spent the remaindier of her life there. Together they raised 6 children. She is survied by her children Jill Barlond, Jack (Pat) Fogg, Alice (Rick) Kokoczka, Robert (JoAnn) Fogg, David (Deborah)Fogg, and Bryan Fogg. Eleven grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband Aurther, several sisters, brother, and grandson "Little" David. Ruth was an excellent cook and shared her talents with many other women. She not only attended to her household duties, but supported Arthur by assisting him with various farm chores. She served on the Leslie Service Council for years,and was a member of the Leslie United Methodist Church. Ruth was always prompt in helping others during times of loss, and could often be counted on to provide one of her tasty dishes to a grieving family. She will be greatly missed by her loving family. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 21, at 11am at the Leslie Funeral Home with Pastor Fredrick Fisher Officiating.
