HAWLEY, Patricia (Schwertfeger), born May 20, 1933 in Utica, N.Y. to John M. and Ida R. Schwertfeger, entered into eternal peace with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 27, 1993 after a long, hard-fought battle with cancer. She married Harry K. Hawley on April 22, 1961 and they moved to Oklahoma City in 1963 where she was self-employed as a seamstress. Pat coordinated the Mobile Meals program and sang in the sanctuary choir at Ridgecrest United Methodist Church for over 15 years. She enjoyed a wonderful marriage and loving family for 32 years and is survived by her husband, Harry; daughter, Melissa A. Hawley, daughter, Robin L. Bennett and her husband, D.A., son, Mathew J. Hawley and his wife, Karolyn; sister, Jeanne M. Miller and her husband, John and sister-in-law, Sarah E. Messina. The family wishes to give special thanks to Dr. Michael J. Keefer and the 3rd floor Oncology staff at Mercy Hospital. Memorial service of praise and celebration at 7:00 p.m. May 29, 1993 in the Ridgecrest United Methodist Church Sanctuary, Oklahoma City. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial gifts be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation (Cancer Research), 825 Northeast 13th Street, Oklahoma City, Ok. 73104, Focus on the Family, Colorado Springs, Co. 80995 or the Ridgecrest United Methodist Church Sanctuary Choir.
