a egg candler, daughter of Wojciech "Albert" Basista and Antonina

(Angela) Koscinszko

Birth record shows that Maria Lucyna Basista was born Dec. 13, 1912 in

Rzeszow, Poland. Parents were Wojciech "Albert" Basista and Antonina

(Angela) Koscinszko.

Mary's birth record was obtained by writing to:

Consulate General of the Polish People's Republic

1525 North Astor Street

Chicago, Illinois 60610

She was married 3 times, to David Postier (married 5/9/1931, David died

2/21/1934), Kenneth K. Stanbery (married 9/19/1936, divorced 5/25/1942),

and John Kmiec (married 6/20/1942, divorced 7/21/1954).

Marriage record shows that Mary Postier married Kenneth K. Stanbery on

Sept. 19, 1936. Mary was 23 years old, 2809 Tate Avenue, born Poland to

Albert Basista and Angela Koscinszko. She had been married once before

and her husband was deceased. Kenneth was 31 years old, 4373 W. 48th

St., born Chicago IL to Walter A. Stanbery and Myrtle Kyran.

Cuyahoga County, Ohio, Divorce No. 516241 between Mary Stanbery,

Plaintiff and Kenneth K. Stanbery, Defendant:

This cause came on to be heard on the 21st day of May, 1942, on the

petition and the evidence, the defendant being in default of answer or

other pleading, although service by publication was duly made for six

consectuive weeks according to law. Upon due consideration thereof, the

court finds that the allegations contained in the petition are true; that

the plaintiff was a resident of the State of Ohio for more than one year

next preceding the filing of the petition and at that time and for more

than 30 days prior thereto was a bona fide resident of Cuyahoga County,

and that the parties were married as stated in the petition. The court

further finds that the defendant has been guilty of willful absence for

more than three years last past, as averred in said petition and that by

reason thereof the plaintiff is entitled to a divorce as prayed for. It

is therefore ordered, adjudged and decreed that the marriage contract

heretofore existing between the parties hereto be, and the same hereby

is, dissolved and both parties are released therefrom. It is further

ordered that the plaintiff pay the costs of this action for which

execution is awarded. Dated May 25, 1942.

Mary then married John Kmiec on 6/20/1942.

Los Angeles, California Divorce No. 469999 between John Kmiec, Plaintiff

and Mary Lucille Kmiec, Defendant:

Complaint for Divorce: Mental Cruelty. Comes now the plaintiff, and for

cause of action against the defendant, complains and alleges as follows:

Plaintiff and defendant were married June 20, 1942, and at all times

since have been and now are husband and wife. Plaintiff is a resident of

the County of Los Angeles, State of California, and has resided in said

county for more than one year immediately preceding the filing of this

action. For Statistical purposes as required, plaintiff alleges: Place

of marriage: City of Cleveland, State of Ohio; Date of marriage, June

20, 1942; Date of separation: December 15, 1953.

In this cause an interlocutory judgment was entered on the 21st day of

July 1954, adjudging that plaintiff was entitled to a divorce from

defandant, and more than one year having elapsed, and no appeal having

been taken from said judgment, and no motion for a new trial having been

granted and the action not having been dismissed. Now upon the

plaintiff's own motion, it is adjudged that plaintiff be and is granted a

final judgment of divorce from defendant and that the bonds of matrimony

between plaintiff and defendant be, and the same are dissolved. Dated

Aug. 22, 1955.

Mary died of congestive heart failure.
