Hansche, Charles Lowell Charles Lowell Hansche, 82, Green Bay, formerly of Kenosha, passed away Monday, Oct. 26, 2009. Called "Chuck" by his friends and family, he was born in Winona, Minn., on Aug. 5, 1927, to his par- ents, the late Emma (Schumann) and Fred C. Hansche. As a young child, Chuck moved to Kenosha with his family and was educated in Kenosha schools. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1943, and saw active duty in the Pa cific Theater and post World War Il in Japan and China. He later enlisted in the Naval Reserve and spent most of his duty time at the Glenview Naval Air Station. On June 22, 1949, he mar ried Helen Mae Yule in Kenosha. She preceded him in death on Oct. 31, 2007. He worked at American Motors/Chrysler Corp. for 44 years as a tool and die maker and supervisor. Chuck was a 3rd Degree Master Mason Lodge 43, Kenosha, lifetime mem- ber of the NRA and an ac- tive volunteer member with his deceased wife, Helen, in Job's Daughters Bethel 77 where he was lovingly known as "Dad" Hansche. As a young man Chuck loved to ice skate at Lin- coln Lagoon, pheasant hunt with his friends in Kenosha County and ride his Indian motorcycle. He was passionate about the outdoors and nature ... es- pecially bass fishing with surface lures on Spring Lake with his children along with pheasant and deer hunting with his son and grandsons. In his later Chuck years, learned to love woodwork- ing and made many toys for his grandchildren and holiday decorations for his family and friends. In looking back on Chuck's life, he could be described as a complex man who at times ap- peared to have a rough ex- terior, but where it mat- tered most, on the inside, he was an extremely gen- erous friend and parent, freely giving his time, home, money and posses- sions to those who needed them more than he did. His children will remem- ber their father as one who stressed the impor- tance of hard work, perse- verance and dedication to one's family. He is survived by four daughters, Yvonne Han- sche, Gail Santy (Jerry Otradovec), Linda Han- sche (Wayne) and Eileen Hansche (Mac Gomber); a son, Brian Hansche (Deb- bie); a sister, Dorothy Rubin; ten grandchildren, Jason Santy (Loni), Alain- (Santy) Lindahl na (James), Danielle Santy (Eric), Frank Neubecker, Alexandra Rodgers, Matthew Hansche, An- drew Hansche, Edward Corey, Jessie and Claire Otradovec; and six great- grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl Neubecker. The family would like to extend recognition and special thanks to Kip Keck ler, Rita Reuder, Kathy Sytkowski, Pat Oertle, and Irv Robinson for all that they did over the years helping "mom and dad. Thanks also to the loving staff at Walnut Grove, De Pere, for taking care of "Dad" for the past two years and to Unity Hospice for making the last six weeks of his life comfort- able. Visitation will be held Sunday, Nov. 1, 2009, from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at the Hansen-Lendman Funeral Home, 6019 7th Ave Kenosha.
