Details: C. Lee Crabill, 75, of Frederick, died Thursday, April 16, 2009, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. Born Dec. 31, 1933, in Gaithersburg, he was the son of the late Collieta Leon (Skeets) and Mabel Emma Becker Crabill. Mr. Crabill lived most of hislife in Wheaton, until moving to Frederick in the early 1990s. He was a longtime member of the Kensington Volunteer Fire Department and worked for the B&O Railroad out of Washington. He further worked as a auto mechanic for Montgomery Ward in Wheaton until his retirement. He loved spending time at Culler Lake feeding the ducks and was a avid NASCAR fan. Richard Petty was his favorite driver. Lee leaves behind his wife, Shirley; his children: daughter, April Early and husband, Tony, of Dallas, Texas, son, David Crabill of Hermann, Mo., daughter, Patricia Crabill of Frederick; grandchildren, Lori Williams, Justin and Elizabeth Lowe, Taylor Crabill, Taylor Wilkinson, Brandon Hubbard; and six great-grandchildren. Mr. Crabill is additionally survived by his sister, Mabel Richardson and husband, Wayne, of Summerville, S.C.; brother, Noah Crabill and wife, Linda, of Hernando, Miss.; sister-in-law, Beverly Harman and husband, Harold, of Rockville; brother-in-law, George Overholtzer Jr. and wife, Darlene, of Frederick; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation with family will be held from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, at Keeney and Basford, P.A., Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 22, from the funeral home. Rev. Charles G. Beekley will officiate. Interment will be at the George Washington Cemetery, Adelphi.
