Emma Swartz Emma Swartz, 72, 5910 40th Ave., died Wednesday afternoon (Jan. 6, 1988) at the Sheridan Nursing Home. The daughter of the late Henry and Bertha (Rusch) Krahn, she was born Oct. 30, 1915 in Bristol. She attended Kenosha County schools and the Newberry school. On Dec. 7, 1940, she married Fred Swartz. She worked at U.S. Standard Products Co. for 12 years and then at Werner's Laundry and Dry cleaning for 10 years before retiring in 1975. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Junkei-Ball Post 1865 Auxiliary, the Kenosha Senior Citizens Council, Inc., and the National Senior Citizens Council, Inc. Surviving are her husband; three brothers, Carl Krahn, Bristol, Henry K rah n, Brooksville, Fla., and Emil Krahn, Kenosha, and a sister, Elsie Legler, Kenosha. She was preceded in death by three brothers and six sisters. The Hansen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She had been living with her nephew, Ervin S. Ingroville on South Green Bay Road. On March 6,1874, she was born in Kenosha County and had lived in Kenosha County all her life. Mrs. Abresch had been a member of the Eirst Methodist Church, Kenosha. Surviving are one daughter, Lucille; two brothers, John and Arthur Swartz both of Kenosha; also several nieces and nephews. Her husband, John Abresch preceded , her in death Oct.. 1945. Fu neral services will be held T Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Greenwood Funeral Home with Rev. Lee Smith, pastor of the First Methodist Church of Kenosha officiating. Interment will be in the family plot in Mound Cemetery, Racine.
