Details: James A. Rockow, 67 years old of Antioch, IL passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at Advocate Condell Medical Center, Libertyville, IL. He was born October 10, 1952 in Waukegan, Il the son of the late Jerome and Jean (nèe Gleich) Rockow. On March 2, 2002, Jim married Deborah Stanton. He spent his 42-year career at Pepsi and also spent a number of years on the Antioch Rescue Squad, the Lions Club of Antioch, and Sequoit Mason Lodge #827. Jim was an avid sportsman who loved hunting, fishing, gardening, and golfing. He was never shy and always quick to make a friend. People were drawn to Jim’s unique and witty sense of humor. He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Deborah; his son, Justin (Shar) Rockow; his step-daughters, Tiffany Johnson, Kristina McGraw, and Heather (Mike) Dalaimo; his 5 grandchildren, Kylee Rockow, Riley Kohlmann, Chrysta O’Dette, A.J. Hudson, Joshua Johnson and his 2 great-grandchildren; his brother, Dennis (Terry) Rockow; and many nieces, nephews, and tons of friends. In addition to his parents, Jerome (Jean) Rockow; he was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Sarah Nichole in 2018. Due to the COVID-19 virus and the CDC guidelines, a Memorial Service is pending and will be held for Jim at a later date. Please stay tuned for additional details. Interment of his cremains will be in Hillside Cemetery, Antioch. Arrangements were entrusted to Strang Funeral Home of Antioch, IL.
