Lena (Magdalena) was born in Sondernach, Germany to Friedrich and Rosine Rosenbacher.
She was married to Christian Ziegler on Feb. 19, 1944 in Germany. To this union were born two children, Emil and Elfriede.
She immigrated to the United States with her family in 1956 and settled near Hanoverton, Ohio, and later, Findlay.

Lena Ziegler, 94, of Findlay, passed away at 8:16 a.m. on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at Primrose Retirement Community, Findlay. She was born on February 4, 1920 in Sondernach, Germany to the late Friedrich and Rosine Rosenbacker. On February 19, 1944 she married Chris Ziegler and he preceded her in death on January 9, 2009.
Lena is survived by a son, Emil (Joyce) Ziegler of Findlay; a daughter, Elfriede (John) Palo of Lenexa, Kansas; six grandchildren: Brent (Dianne) Ziegler, Christopher (Carla) Palo, Michael (Carmen) Palo, Stephanie Palo, Neil Powell and Leslie Powell; two great-grandsons; Christian Ziegler and Simon Palo.
Lena was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Findlay. Pastor Bob Cochran will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Findlay.
Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 4, 2014 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church. Memorial contribution may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to the charity of the donor's choice.
