Veronica Staib Bethel CT United States
Staib, Veronica G. Veronica (Ginty) Staib Veronica Staib, 92, passed into eternal rest on May 9, 2015, at Bethel Health Care Center. A longtime resident of Bethel, she was born in Danbury and graduated from Danbury High School, class of 1940. Veronica was the beloved wife of Daniel L. Staib for 56 years prior to his death in 2003. She is survived by her loving daughters,Kathryn (Kay) Grosberg and her husband Neal, and Eleanor (Ellie) Staib and her partner Paul Tanski, as well as her sister-in-law Joan Ginty and several nieces and nephews. Veronica worked for Southern New England Telephone Company for 30 years prior to her retirement in 1985. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family and friends. She loved to entertain and always looked forward to celebrating holidays and special occasions. The family extends its sincere gratitude and thanks to the staff at the Cascades and Bethel Health Care Center for the wonderful care and kindness they bestowed on Veronica over the last eleven years. Friends and family may call at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St. Danbury on Wednesday, May 13 2015, from 9am –10am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary Church, Bethel at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at St Mary Cemetery, Bethel. Donations in Veronica's memory can be made to: The Michael J. Fox Foundation, Donation Processing, PO Box 5014, Hagerstown, Md. 21741-5014, St. Mary Parish, 26 Dodgingtown Rd. Bethel, CT 06801, or to a charity of your choice.
