RONALD T. KASTEN GREENVILLE, ILL. — Ronald Thomas Kasten, 74, of Greenville, Ill., died in Urbana, Ill., at the Carle Foundation Hospital Friday, Feb. 20, 2015. He was born on May 29. 1940, in Alton, to Ernest H. and Lucia (Crivello) Kasten Sr., who are deceased. His only brother, Ernest H. Kasten Jr. died on June 7, 2009. He graduated from Southwestern High School in 1959, and served three years in the army. He was a mechanic and owned a couple of service stations in the area. He moved to Greenville in 1968. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Beverly Kasten; three nieces and two nephews, Diane Maupin and Mathew Kasten, both of Brighton, Denise Rogerson of Leesburg, Va., Debra Hicks of Overland Park, Kan., and Michael Kasten of Ojai, Calif., numerous Crivello cousins in the Alton area. According to his wishes, his body was donated to science. A memorial service will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2015, at Bradford Hall in Greenville, Ill.
