[Krug-Grunwald-Tree.GED] Immigrated 1871 Obituary-Fond du Lac Reporter--April 3, 1928 FORMER FOREST RESIDENT DIES Mrs. Katherine Krug Stricken at Family Home, 94 Eight Street The death of Mrs. Katherine Krug, widow of Joseph Krug, occurred at 1a.m. today at the family home, 94 Eighth street, following an illness ofnine months. The funeral will be held from the residence at 1:30 p.m. Thursday andat 2 p.m. from St. Peter's Lutheran church, the Rev. G. E. Bergemannofficiating. Burial will be in Rienzi cemetery. Mrs. Krug was a well known resident of Fond du Lac county, her homehaving been in the Town of Forest and in this city since 1868. She wasborn June 22, 1858, at Oberdieten, Germany, and at the age of 10 came toWisconsin with her parents. She was married Jan. 4, 1877, to JosephKrug, living to the Town of Forest until 10 years ago when she moved tothis city, Mr. Krug died Oct. 17, 1922. Six sons and four daughters survive. They are George of Fond du Lac,Herman, Edward, Clement and Joseph of Forest, Arnold of Milwaukee, Mrs.Henry Wagner of Forest, Mrs. Robert Glasow, Mrs. Gustav Glasow and Mrs.Henry Hill of this city. There are also five brothers, Henry and ChristImmel of Fond du Lac, John and William Immel of Hortonville and AugustImmel of Empire, one sister Mrs. G. of Chicago, 28 grand children and 3great grandchildren. Mrs. Krug was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran church and alsobelonged to the Frauen Verein. Commonwealth Reporter - Dated: April 5, 1928 Funeral services for Mrs. Katherine Krug well known county resident whosdeath occurred Tuesday were conducted at 1:30 p.m. today from the familyhome, 94 8th Street and at 2 p.m. from St. Peters Lutheran Church fromwhich she was a member. The Rev. G.E. Bergemann officiated. George, Herman, Edward, Jospeh, Arnold, Clement Krug, sons of thederceased acted as Pallbearers while flowers were carried by 5granddaughters, Ruth and Marion Glasow, Marcella Wagner, Verna and IreneKrug. Burial was in Rienzi Cemetery. There was an unusually largenumber of floral tributes and a large gathering of relatives and friendsat the funeral service.
