LONG ILLNESS PROVES FATAL TO MRS. BROCKMAN
Mrs. Brockman, 74, died at 9:45 PM, Wednesday at her home, 614 North Seventh St. after a lingering illness. She was a native of Spencer County, IN, where she was born May 18, 1882, a daughter of John and Katherine (Braun) Held. She married George Brockman in 1903, and he died in 1952. Mrs. Brockman was a member of St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church, and of the Ladies Aid of that church. She is survived by a son, Elmer W. Brockman; three grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Augusta Wittman and Mrs. Alta Foertsch, both of Spencer County; and a brother, William Held of Evansville. The body is at the Brockman Chapel, where friends may call after 6 PM, Thursday. Following Mrs. Brockman's request, the funeral services will be private. The services will be at 11 AM, Saturday at Brockman's with the Rev. Frank W. Schaefer officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
