Mrs. Rash Was Old Settler – The remains of Mrs. Margaret Rash, who died at St. Vincent’s home, Quincy, Friday evening were brought to this city Sunday morning and taken to the home of her sister, Mrs. M. Connor, where they remained until Tuesdaymorning when the funeral services were held from St. Mary’s Catholic church with services in charge of Father D. J. Carroll and the body was laid to rest beside her husband, who passed away about ten years ago. Miss Margaret Crummy was born inIreland 73 years ago last month and came to this country with her parents when a year old. The family settled in Kentucky, where they remained a few years and then came to Brown county, where she had resided until she went to Quincy in 1910 to make her home St. Vincent’s home. Several children were born to this union, among whom were Frank Rash of Mellon, Wis.; Fred of Denver, Colo.; Ed of Butte, Mont.; Charles of Chicago; Mrs. Joseph Kestel of Manhattan, Ill.; Mrs. Ida Cronin of Lamar, Mo.; and Mrs. J. J. Madden of Aberdeen, S. D. She leaves one brother, Barney Crummy of Argyle, Minn. and one sister, Mrs. Connor of this city. Mr. and Mrs. Cronin, Mr. and Mrs. Kestel and Charles of Chicago and Fred of Denver were here to attend the funeral besides a number of other relatives.
