Shirley A. Krull, age 60, of 17684 Stears Road, White Pigeon, Mich., died April 2, 2003, at Three Rivers Area Hospital, following an extended illness.
She was born June 3, 1942, in Constantine, a daughter of Aurice J. andBetsy C. (Abrams) Mock. A lifelong resident of the White Pigeon area,she was honored by having a White Pigeon street, Shirley Ave., namedfor her.
On Sept. 30, 1960, she married Theodore R. Krull in Constantine. She and her husband were owners and operators of the Ted Krull Farms and Construction Sales of White Pigeon. She also managed Krull Detasseling for over 20 years.
A 1960 graduate of White Pigeon High School, she was a member of the White Pigeon United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School, Bible School and provided many church dinners. She was a member, past president and secretary of Friends of the library, a member of the WhitePigeon Women's Bowling Association, Mondernettes of White Pigeon andorganized the White Pigeon Schools sports banquet for many years.
Shirley enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, watching the news, having lunch with her friends and spending time with Ted at theircondo in Naples, Fla.
Surviving are: her husband, Ted R. Krull of White Pigeon; three sons,Michael and Melissa Krull, Tom and Jackie Krull and T.J. Krll, all ofWhite Pigeon; seven grandchildren, Taylor, Holly, Carson, Kylee, Kyler, Noah and Summer; her mother, Betsy Mock of White Pigeon; a sister Mrs. J.D. (Billie) Martin of Three Rivers: and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father.
Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. today at the Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at theSt. Joseph Catholic Church in White Pigeon. The Rev. Linda Burton, pastor of the White Pigeon United Methodist Church and Sister Maxine McGee SSJ of St. Joseph Catholic Church will officiate.
Memorials may be made to the Friends of the Library, White Pigeon United Methodist Church or White Pigeon Athletic Complex.
