She was born on 7 Oct 1917 in Highland, the daughter of the lateLarwence and Edna (Koch) Nagel. She married Walter "Barney" Zobrist on 18 Jan 1941 at the St. PaulCatholic Church in Highland by Fr. Hohl. He preceded her in death on25 Nov 1983. She is survived by a son Lindell Zobrist and wife Wendy of Bulverde,TX, four daughtes Deanne Knecht and husband Robert of Edwardsville,Deborah Cook and husband Richard, Ruth Zobrist and Jill Schleper, allof Highland; a sister Marian Nagel of Columbia, MO; three brothersLawrence Nagel of St. Louis, Marcus Nagel and wife Bernadette ofHighland, ahd Gerald Nagel and wife Doris of St. Jacob, 6grandchildren: Stephanie Renken and husband Stephen and Robert Knecht,Jr. all of Edwardsville, Amanda Cook and Celia Schleper both ofHighland, Michael Zobrist and wife Eve of San Antonio, TX and NathanSchleper of St. Jacob, and one great-grandson Garrett Cook (should beWoodall) of Highland. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by astillborn child, three brothers: Wilfred, Harvey and Vincent Nagel andone grandchild: Eric Zobrist. Mrs. Zobrist was born on the family farm. She worked at various timesat Rikli's Bakery, Highland Supply Corporation and Artex. She retiredfrom Artex in 1976. Her memberships included St. Paul's CatholicChurch in Highland. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm on Friday 24 Oct and from 8am to9:30 am on Sat 25 Oct at Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home in Highland. Funeral mass services will begin at 10 am on Sat 25 Oct at St. PaulCatholic Church in Highland with Fr. David Peters, pastor,officiating. Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Highland. Pallbearers will be Stephanie Renken, Robert Knecht, Jr., Amanda Cook,Michael Zobrist, Nathan Schleper, and Celia Schleper. Memorials are suggested to Masses or Friend's Van of St. JosephHospital.
