Edwardsville Intelligencer, 15 July 1985: Richard I. "Dick" Talleur,49, of rural Pocahontas, died of cancer on Saturday 13 July 1985 athis residence. He was born 25 May 1936 in Madison Co., IL, a son ofIrwin H. Talleur of Highland and the late Dorothy J. Voudrie Talleur.He married Martha E. Potthast in Highland on 20 July 1957, and shesurvives. Other survivors are a son Daniel I. Talleur of ruralPocahontas; 2 daughters Mrs. Michael (Deborah) Lengermann of Highlandand Donna Marie Talleur of Springfield; 2 sisters Mrs Jerome (JeanMarie) Potthast of Pontiac, IL and Mrs. Robert (Dorothy) Jacober ofHighland; and 4 grandchildren. A sister Betty Winet, was murderednorth of Highland on 9 Jan 1972. Mr. Talleur was a US Army vet andserved in Germany. Funeral will be on Tuesday in Immaculate ConceptionCatholic Church, Pierron with interment in Calvary Cemetery, Pierron.
