Red Wing Daily Republican Eagle Saturday January 14, 1995 Page 6, column 2-3 Floyd Fitschen, 80 Jan. 13, 1995 Floyd F. Fitschen, 80, Zumbrota, died Friday morning at Hi-Park CareCenter, Red Wing. The son of John and Laura (Klair) Fitschen, he wasborn May 11, 1914, in Hay Creek. He married Geneva Aadalen Oct. 14,1939, in Decorah, Iowa. They lived in Vancouver, Wash., for a fewyears and in Red Wing before moving to Zumbrota 50 years ago. He ownedand operating F&K Cafe in Zumbrota from 1946-50, and was in the realestate business there from 1950 until retiring in 1984. He was amember of United Redeemer Lutheran Church. Surviving are his wife, Geneva; two daughters, Judy (James) Thurstonof Anoka, Minn., and Suzanne (Wayne) Berg of Mesa, Ariz; fourgrandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Bernice(Willard) Ehlen of Red Wing; and nieces and nephews. Two brothers andone sister preceded him in death. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at United Redeemer Lutheran Church,Zumbrota, with the Rev. Wayne Radke officiating. Burial will be inOakwood Cemetery, Red Wing. Pallbearers will be Paul Keagle, ThomasFoushee, David Thurston, Douglas Thurston, James Thurston and WayneBerg. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at Larson FuneralHome, Zumbrota and for one hour before the service Monday at thechurch. Social Security Number: 471-16-0958
