Notizen zu dieser Person
Aline de Multon was born abt 1240 in Gilsland, Irthington Castle, Cumberland County, England. Cumberland is a historic county of North West England that had an administrative function from the 12th century until 1974. It was bordered by Northumberland to the east, County Durham to the southeast, Westmorland and Lancashire to the south, and Dumfriesshire in Scotland to the north. It formed an administrative county from 1889 to 1974 (excluding Carlisle from 1914) and now forms part of Cumbria. Aline was the daughter of Thomas III of Gillesland de Multon (1220-1270) and Maud Heiress of Gillesland de (Vaux) Multon (1223-1293). Aline married William V (Lord Buckingham) de Braose (1222-1291) in Bramber Castle, Sussex, England in 1255. William was the son of John "The Ogre" Abergavenny de Braose (1197-1232) and Margred Drwyndon (Princess of Wales) verch Llewelyn (1202-1263). William V and Aline de Braose were the parents of William VI de Braose 2nd Baron Braose. Aline de (Multon) Braose died abt 1268 in Bramber, West Sussex, England. More about this family in the books: "Peerage of the United Kingdom and Ireland, Volumes I-IV" page 303 and "Family book of remembrance and genealogy, with allied lines" page 31.
