OBITUARY, The Sioux City Journal, 14 February 1965, pageB12: Funeral services for James B. Coon, 84, 4416 Fillmore St., who died Saturday at a hospital after a long illness, will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Anderson Funeral Home with Rev. James E. Smith of Morningside Assembly of God churchofficiating. Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery. He was born at Harlan, Iowa, November 6, 1880. He farmed in the Correctionville area before moving to Sioux City fifty-six years ago. Survivors include three brothers, J.A. Coon of Correctionville, F.V. Coon of Greeley, Colorado, and H.W. Coon of Sioux City, and three sisters, Mrs. Zelma Babcock and Miss Goldie Coon of Sioux City and Mrs. W.E. Denton of Klamath Falls, Oregon.
Burial: 16 February 1965, Graceland Park Cemetery, Sioux City, Woodbury Co., Iowa
