Born in Philadelphia, Mrs. Haseltine lived in Rutledge 70 years beforemoving to Swarthmore and then to Aldan, where she lived with adaughter and family. She graduated from Lansdowne High School and worked for 30 years as atelephone operator with Bell of Pennsylvania. She had great compassionfor older people and was employed as a companion by Concerned NursingLtd. in Rutledge, and at Gibbons Home, Inc. in Springfield. She was a faithful and active member of Chambers Memorial PresbyterianChurch in Rutledge, where she served as a Deacon. She also was churchrepresentative to the Presbyterian Home at 58th Street in SouthwestPhiladelphia. Devoted to her family, she was known for her hospitality and goodcooking, including beautifully decorated cakes. She was the widow of William P. Haseltine, who died in 1988. Survivors: Daughters, Marijane Schappel of Edenton, N.C., Carol LynnWeigelt of New Holland son, William P. Haseltine, Jr. of Rutledgesister, Caroline A. Stuart of Everett brothers, Charles F. Alburger ofSpring City and George C. Alburger of Swarthmore seven grandchildrensix great-grandchildren nieces and nephews. Visitation: 9-10 a.m. Saturday at Knoetgen Funeral Home, 746 KedronAvenue, Morton. Graveside service and burial: Media Cemetery. Service: Noon Saturday at Chambers Memorial Presbyterian Church,Morton at Sylvan avenues, Rutledge.
