According to a GenForumEmail posted by Karl Seitz (August 21, 1999), "After extensiveresearch, Caral Mechling Bennett has concluded that the wife ofJohannes Seitz, who arrived on the RICHMOND is Catharine Rueb (orRipp), not Diehl. Furthermore, Johannes was born January 30, 1740 atAdelshofen, Baden, Germany, not Aughenhaven. You will find a fullerexplanation of Caral's theory on my website in biographical sketchesof Johannes and Lewis Seitz.
