In the 1801 and 1802 Chortitza Colony Censuses he is listed inNeuenburg with his father. In the 1808 Molotschna Colony Census he islisted at Altonau #9, and is said been from Danzig and to have settledin Altonau in May 1808 (B. H. Unruh, p. 317). In the 1835 Census helisted at Altonau #10. The 1835 Census says he migrated to S. Russiain 1804. However, this seems likely to be incorrect since noimmigration records for him have been located indicating that heimmigrated in 1804 and given that he was living in the ChortitzaColony in 1802. It seems much more likely that he immigrated toRussia with his parents in 1795 and that he moved from the ChortitzaColony to Altonau in 1808. , page Seite 317: Kolonie Altona, Molotschna, am 1. 5. 1808angekommenBirth Source: Neuenburg, The First Immigrants to NeuenburgBirth Source: Family's Mennonite History , page 237Birth Source:Rosenthal: The Old Colony Russia - The First Settlers: 1796-1808, PartII Birth Source: Peter Epp and Anna Claassen and their descendants, chart Birth Source: 1835 Molotschna Colony Census , page Altonau -family 10 about 1785Birth Source: Gedenke des ganzen Weges , page18Notes: In the 1801 and 1802 Chortitza Colony Censuses he is listedin Neuenburg with his father.
