Notizen zu dieser Person
William/Bill McClusky was a linesman for the Ohio Bell Telephone Company for many years before beginning his own telephone company in Rock Creek, Ohio and there all the family helped to run the business. Catherine, his wife, along with his sons climbed the poles to stretch and repair wires after storms in the area. He made a success of his company and sold it to the Ohio Bell Co. when he retired. After his retirement he and his wife traveled extensively throughout the world both by shipand airplane. As a 50th wedding gift his wife, Catherine, gave him a mountain climbing trip to Switzerland. Mountain climbing was one of his hobbies. This is where he lost his life while preparing for a climb. His wife and daughter, Alice, wentto Switzerland to form search parties with no luck. His body was found a few months later by hunters in the area. The body was cremated and returned to Rock Creek,Ohio for burial in Union Cemetery, Rock Creek, Ohio after a Mass in Sacred Heart Church on November 6, 1976.
