Death 1814 June 8th. of Maria Sophia Weiss [Knabenschuh], the wife of Johann GeorgWeiss.,burger and master baker. She died 1 hour after the birth of her first child.
"In the year of Christ 1814, on the 8th. of June towards 7 a.m., just after the end of delivery and immediately after the child was born, died at the age of 39 years and 4 months, Maria Sophia geb. Knabenschuh the wife of local burger and master baker as well as the waggoner, Johann Georg Weiss ; and was buried on the 9th. of the mentioned month at 3p.m. This event took place one day earlier than prescribed by local laws, since the corpse could no longer be held, and certain medical deeds -----.
It was a quiet buriel of the corpse because of the above mentioned -------fever.
This present protocol was signed in my own hand by myself the first City Pastor and ----, and Friedrich Conrad Knabenschuh, the local burger andstocking manufacturer who was the brother of the deceased ; and also by Johann Philipp Weiss the local burger, master baker and waggoner, the brother-in-law of thedeceased ; in my presence immediately after the corpse was buried."
