Die Kirche wurde 1754 gebaut.
In the 18th Century the village was settled slowly, but not in the same place as the original village. It was settled a little further north by 1715; it's name being Újdoroszló (Új means 'new') and had 15 households that were taxed. The first stamp of the village was in 1742. There being very few inhabitants, 150 Hungarian families were invited to settle there. By 1753 Serb inhabitants (who occupied this territory) did not want to live among the Hungarians, therefore by the permission of the county council of Bács, they moved to Brestovacz. (In that age the bondsmen could not move by themselves to other places without permission ...)
The Church was built in 1754. A new one being built in 1803, the old one demolished by 1803. In the forest of the village is a rampart, which was built in the Roman age. Cothmann representing the settlers in 1762, wrote regarding the village, stating ... "Village Doroszló is settled only by Hungarians for six years. The village is lovely, clean and is lies in a small, high place. It has good plough lands, but many of the inhabitants are not working in the fields, but fishing in the "fish rich" marshes around the village. Most of the inhabitants have good properties with horses, cows, and other house animals. Because the village is developing quickly; I (Cothmann) propose to build a new Church by the cost of the Chamber."
