TOD: New Ulm JournalWednesday, May 27, 1914Mrs. Adam GoblirschSaturday morning the remains of Mrs. Adam Goblirsch of Lafayette were laid to rest in the St. George cemetery, following funeral services by Rev. Pozek in the Catholic Church at St. George at 10 o'clock.
The deceased whose maiden name was Marie Kaehs, died at the Loretto Hospital the previous Thursday at 5:30 o'clock in the morning. Death was due to diabetes with which she had been suffering for several months. The last few weeks she spent at the Hospital where she received the best of care and medical attention but to no avail.
Mrs. Goblirsch was only 53 years old, having been born in Austria October 21, 1851. She came to America with her parents in the year 1868 and after living at Frontenac, Minn., the family settled on a farm in Lafayette Township. The deceased was united in marriage to Adam Goblirsch, her surviving husband at St. George, November 25, 1884. They immediately settled on a farm in Lafayette Township where they resided continuously until her death. Six children were born to them, all of whom survive their mother. they are Albert who is an attorney at Wabasso and Mary, John, Annie, Mathilda and Agnes who are still at home. She is also survived by her aged father who has made his home with her for many years and a brother, John Kahs who resides at Altamann, S.D.
