TOD: OBIT - Kosmos Miller - MHTR - received 11/01 from Agnes Birringer Kosmos Miller, 59, prominent town officer and schoold director for years at Maple Grove, died early today of a heart ailment at the farm house west of Reedsville. He was stricken ill Thursday afternoon while at work in the garden Funeral services will be held Monday morning from the Brillion Catholic Church. Mr Miller was born at Maple Grove in 1883 (parents: Joseph and Otilla Bauer Miller) and in 1907 married Miss Caroline Pritzl. Fifteen children were born to the couple of whom 14 survive. Mr Miller served as town clerk for 19 years and was clerk of a Maple Grove school distric for many years. He was also secretary of the Rockland Mutual Fire insurance company for years, affiliated as an officer with a state insurance company and a member of the Catholic Knights of Wisconsin and Holy Name Society. Survivors are the widow; eight daughters, Mrs Ed Schuh of Maple Grove, Mrs Ray Lang of this city, Mrs Alex Fischer of route 1, Reedsville, Sister LaVerne of Holy Family Convent, Silver Lake, Josephine; Marion, Gertrude and Catherine, all at home; six sons, Lawrence, Vincent, Phillip and Carl of Maple Grove, Norbert, in the U.S. Army, overseas, Kosmos, Jr. of Janesville; brother, John of Brillion; sister Mrs Francis Kleiber of this city.
