TOD: OBIT, Michael MEIDL, Mtwc. Herald News, 11 Jun 1925 - [Mrs Ann Larson] Michael MEIDL, a life long resident of Franklin, died at the family home yesterday afternoon after an illness of 6 months. The Funeral will be Friday a.m. with services at St. Michael's Catholic Church Whitelaw, 9 O'clock. Born in Franklin 58 years ago, he had always made his home here. Married about 27 [33] years ago and is survived by his widow and 9 children: Mrs. Louis ZIPPERER of Whitelaw, Mrs. Frank REIMER of Franklin, and Mrs. Frank REISS of Reedsville. Theresa, Michael Jr., Margaret, Louis, John and Alphonse at home. Three sisters and two brothers also survive him.
"OBIT" from Manitowoc Herald Times, 6 Oct 1952" MEIDL FUNERAL Funeral services for Mrs. Theresa MEIDL, 80, who died Saturday at the farm home in Whitelaw, will be held at 9:30 am Tuesday at the Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville, and 10:00 am at St. Michael Catholic Church, Whitelaw. The Rev John W. Husslein will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Meidl, the former Theresa Meyer, was born July 17, 1872, in the town of Franklin and was married to Mr. Meidl 60 years ago. They settled on a farm near Whitelaw which now is operated by a son, Louis, with whom she resided. Mr. Meidl died 27 years ago. The deceased was an honorary member of the Christian Mothers Society of St. Michael Church. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Louis Zipperer of Cato, Mrs. Mike Reimer of Whitelaw, Mrs. Barbara Reis of Greenville, Wis., and Mrs. Joseph Sittman of Rt. 2, Cato; four sons, Michael of Rt. 2, Cato, Louis and Alphonse on the home farm and John of Mishicot; two brothers, Frank of Whitelaw and Louis of Keil; two sisters, Mrs. Joseph Menlik and Mrs. John Heinzen of Whitelaw; 42 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren. A daughter died 11 years ago. Friends may call at the Saur Funeral Home until the hour of services Tuesday. The rosary will be recited at 8:00 pm Monday at the funeral home.
