elores Wittmann Delores Henrietta Wittmann, nee Sonnenberg, 77, of Troy, Ill., born Jan. 20, 1934, in Troy, Ill., died on Friday, May 13,2011, at University Nursing and Rehab. in Edwardsville, Ill. Mrs. Wittmann had worked as a switchboard operator for Peabody Coal, Edward Jones, Mercantile Bank and South Western Bell Telephone. A lifelong resident of Troy, Ill., she was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Collinsville, Ill, and St. Paul Lutheran Church in Troy, Ill. Delores had graduated from McCray-Dewey High School in 1952. She volunteered and was a member of the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary in Belleville, Ill. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robin Wittmann and Kenneth Brendel; grandson, Robin Lockwood; parents, Charles and Goldie, nee Deterding, Sonnenberg Williams; step father, Clem Williams; brother Donald Sonnenberg; sister, Margie Beck; and nephew, Michael Sonnenberg. Surviving are her daughters, Kathie (Kirk) Miles of Lenexa, Kan., and Cindy Lockwood of Collinsville, Ill.; grandchildren, Leah (Joe) Lockwood-Silva, Kory (Laura) Miles, Geoff Miles and Scott Miles; great-grandchild, Roben Silva; nieces and nephews, Donald Sonnenberg, Patricia Frey, Debbie Mitchell and Vickie O'Neill.
