To his family and friends, he was always "Tor." Terry was born to John and Mary (Simones) Desmond on July 23rd, 1960. He was a lifelong resident of La Crosse attending Blessed Sacrament grade school and Aquinas High School, graduating in 1979. Terry worked for his older brother, John, at Desmond's Formal Wear for many years and most recently at Midwest Garment. Terry has seven siblings; John (Margie), Mike (Karen), Pat (Kathy), Mary Regan (Jim), Brian, Tim (Bwalya), Greg (Deb). He also is survived by his dad, John W. Desmond (Hazel). He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Simones Desmond and a nephew Jimmy Regan. Terry also had many cousins, nieces and nephews. While Tor was generally a quiet and very private person, people that knew him enjoyed his quick wit and sense of humor. At their dad's annual birthday party, Tor inevitably had the entire Desmond family in stitches, especially with his Chris Farley impersonations. Tor loved sports of all kinds but ironically did not follow Wisconsin teams. Oddly, he loved the St. Louis Rams, Boston Red Sox and L.A. Lakers. Burial will follow in the Catholic Cemetery.
